Abstract

During the 20th century attitude of Tuvans to a mountain towering over the capital of republic on the right coast of Yenisei, has varied. Those attitudes had been reflected in the names that appeared on the top of a mountain in different years. Dogee still continues to play a significant role in religious views of Tuvans. It remains in the center of a cultural, political life of Tuva, though representing yet unexplored archaeological and ethnographic monument.
