Abstract

The article introduces the text of the Mongolian manuscript ‘The Sutra on the Eight luminous of heaven and earth’ (mong. Nyman gegeen) from the archive of the Tuvan Institute for the Humanities and Social and Economic studies (Kyzyl, Russia).

It gives brief information about the literary history of the monument, its Tibetan, Uighur, Mongolian and Oirat translations and the summary of the Sutra.

Also provided is the transliteration of the manuscript from Mongolian writing into Latin script, with a parallel translation into Russian, and a facsimile of the manuscript.
