Values of the Present in the Context of Modernization and Globalization

Abstract

In the article by a prominent philosopher of culture V. M. Mezhuev the phenomenon of modernization is being considered, the difference in understanding of modern times in various cultural worlds is revealed, an interpretation of these concepts is suggested. In the conclusion, there is an idea that there is a necessity of reorientation from modernization to the way of global development.
