Article tells about the fate of a commissar of militia, one of the heads of the law-enforcement agencies of the People’s Republic of Tuva, Tuvan Autonomous Region Mongush Bayan-oolovich Artas. It is based on written memoirs of M.Artas, archival resources and author’s personal memories to reconstruct character’s biography and give his testimonial as well as picturing a tragic background of the epoch.References
