Abstract

Article is about two famous figures of the Tibetan Buddhism — Karmapa ХVII and Panchen Lama ХI, whoserole in the history and spiritual culture of  Central Asia and Tibet is extremely high. The special attention is given to the political intrigue connected to their recognition as reincarnations of their predecessors.
