Shagaa - a traditional fest of modern Tuvans (by the materials of press)

The article is devoted to special features of traditional Tuvan New Year fest - Shagaa - in modern conditions. Combination of shamanistic traditions and influence of Buddhism with ancient cults are characteristic property of Shagaa fest. History of holiday is considered in brief, the description of modern Shagaa fest in Kyzyl is quoted. Also brief comparative analysis of Shagaa and similar Buryat fest Sagaalgan is cited.References
