Abstract

Article describes ritual ceremonial spectacles during Shagaa – greeting of a New Year by Eastern lunar calendar. It describes such festivities like "aryglanyr” – catharsis, "san salyr” – kindling of ritual bonfire, "cholukshuur” – special greeting during Shagaa and the rules of presenting the "kadak” – a band of silk ritual tissue, etc.
