Abstract

The article explores the history of the formation of the scientific school in the contemporary history of Southern Siberia (Khakassia and Tuva), established by one of the prominent academic figures in the Sayan-Altai region, Dr. Valentina Nikolaevna Tuguzhekhova. Biographical facts related to her childhood, youth, student years, and her involvement in the Komsomol organization are considered as stages in the development of the future mentor of young scientists. Special emphasis is placed on her personal and professional growth during her postgraduate studies at the A. I. Herzen Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute.

For many years, she led the Khakass Research Institute of Language, Literature, and History, playing a crucial role as one of the successful organizers of humanitarian sciences in Siberia.

The article examines V. N. Tuguzhekhova's contribution to the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel for the republics of Southern Siberia. From 1995 to the present, she has supervised the preparation of over forty specialists, whose research has filled numerous gaps in the history of Tuva and Khakassia.
